The Masks We Wear and the Distance from Truth
May 15, 2016 @ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM$25
Our May offering promises to be an unusual and exciting event. We will be joined by a very special guest, Doug Banner, who lives in Bellingham and is a noted storyteller, sculptor, musician and educator. With over three decades of experience in multi-cultural and indigenous studies, he continues his work in art, leadership and education to promote desired systemic transformation while honoring cultural values. Doug brings a unique and integrative perspective to our relationships with others and with our selves. We invite you to come and experience his wisdom and gifts.
How do the masks we wear carry our biases and beliefs and keep us from connecting more deeply with others? Who are we really, when we remove our masks? In this experiential offering, gently led by Doug, we will watch our egos disappearing and observe our true selves emerging.
